Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation - My Review

Last weekend the kids and I went to see Hotel Transylvania 3. We enjoyed the first two, and a matinee is always worth it on a hot day, right?

We already knew we loved the characters, although I think Tinkles the puppy was new, and it was fun to see Dennis and one of the wolf girls as besties. The plot was totally predictable, but I found the character of the true villian to be a little intriguing. He was a really, really old human, but most of his body had been recreated as a machine.

Overall, I'd give this movie 3 out of 5 stars. Very good for a sequel. I'm sure we'll see it again once it makes its way to Netflix.

I'm debating if I want to see this one - I've actually never seen any of the HT movies, surprisingly! I may see it on a slow day with MoviePass.

My family LOVED the first two movies … but have to be honest this third installment was a let down. My wife was so disappointed as we left the theater because she was looking forward to seeing it even more than my kids were. It wasn't that it was bad … just wasn't good. Can't put a finger on why but it seemed the story just never got traction and the laughs just weren't there this time. I think you were being nice giving it 3 stars … maybe 2 to 2.5 from me.

My kids LOVE the first two movies! I'm really contemplating taking them to see this at the theaters but not sure if my youngest would make it through the whole movie.
